For apps obtained through Apple's App Store, Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. These terms supplement that agreement.
1. Accepting these terms
By downloading, accessing or using Josh's World Quest (“World Quest”), a user agrees to these terms and our Privacy Policy. A parent or legal guardian must review and accept these terms for a child who cannot legally accept them. If you do not agree, do not use the app or website.
2. Educational service
World Quest provides geography games, atlases, readings, language activities and related educational material for personal and family learning. Content is adapted for different age and learning bands, but it is not a replacement for professional teaching, official maps, travel advice or academic assessment.
3. Licence and permitted use
Subject to these terms and Apple's applicable usage rules, we grant a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive and non-transferable licence to use the app on supported devices. Users may not copy, sell, sublicense, reverse engineer, interfere with, scrape, misuse or create an unauthorized derivative of the app, website, artwork, data or other content, except where applicable law expressly permits it.
4. Family use and safety
Parents and guardians are responsible for choosing appropriate profile settings and supervising children's use. Child profiles are not intended for public chat or stranger matching. Users may not attempt to bypass grown-up gates, safety controls, content limits, subscription access or technical protections.
5. Free access and Full Adventure
World Quest offers a free experience and an optional auto-renewing annual subscription called Full Adventure. Where Apple makes the introductory offer available, eligible new subscribers may receive seven days of Full Adventure without charge. The subscription begins immediately and automatically renews at the price shown in the Apple purchase sheet unless cancelled before the trial ends. Each Apple Account may redeem only one introductory offer in the subscription group. Availability and pricing may vary by country.
- Payment is charged by Apple to the Apple Account used to confirm the purchase.
- The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the current period ends, as explained by Apple.
- Renewal is charged by Apple according to the price shown for the subscription.
- Subscriptions can be managed or cancelled in Apple's subscription settings.
- Where available, the app includes a Restore Purchases option for eligible prior purchases.
- Except where required by law or Apple policy, purchases and refunds are administered by Apple.
6. Accuracy and third-party material
We work to make educational information accurate and useful, but countries, populations, boundaries, names and other facts can change. Some optional reference photographs, maps or source material may come from third parties and remain subject to their licences and terms. We do not guarantee that every feature or external source will always be available, error-free or appropriate for every purpose.
7. Updates and availability
We may improve, add, remove or change features, supported devices or content. Updates may be required for continued use. Offline availability varies by feature, and optional online services can be interrupted. We may suspend access when reasonably necessary for security, maintenance, legal compliance or misuse.
8. Intellectual property
World Quest, Josh, the logo, original artwork, app design, text and software are owned by or licensed to Josh's World Quest and are protected by intellectual-property laws. Country flags and certain public facts may not be proprietary, but their selection, presentation, artwork and arrangement can be protected.
9. Disclaimers and limits
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the app and website are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties beyond those that cannot legally be excluded. We are not responsible for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising from use or inability to use the service. Nothing in these terms limits rights or remedies that applicable consumer law does not allow us to limit.
10. Termination
A user may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for a material violation of these terms, fraud, misuse, safety risk or legal requirement. Sections that logically continue after termination—including intellectual property, disclaimers and limits—will remain in effect.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms to reflect changes in the product, law or our practices. The updated version will appear here with a new effective date. Continued use after an update means acceptance where permitted by law.
